Hahaha Poetry Time And in Punjabi. I'm Sure You Gonna Love It.

I have just got an email which had a small but amazing poetry. So good that I couldn’t stop myself from putting it here. I am not aware about the name of the poet to give the due credit at the moment. If anyone knows, please let me know and I shall give the credit to the poet(s) as (s)he truly deserve it.

The poetry is in Punjabi and no prize for guessing that I shall be translating it to English. So without further delay, here it is,

Ajj oh mainu russe nu manaun aayi,
Saare gile-shiqve mitaun aayi!
Main chup-chap sunda reha,
Ajj jad oh dil da haal sunaun aayi!
Ro ro k usne mangi muafi,
Ajj oh apne ton bewafa da daag jad mitaun aayi.
Main khudgarz peya hi reha,
Uth ke us de hanjhu v naa poonjh sakeya,
Jo meri qabar te ajj deewa jagaun aayi!

And here is it’s translation in English,

Today she came to please me,
To settle all the disputes and quarrles.
I kept on listening to her quitely,
When she came to me today to reveal her heart out.
She said sorry million of times while being in tears,
When she came today to wash the black mark fromm her forehead of being heartless.
I selfish kept lieing down only,
I couldn’t even get up to wipe her tears too,
When she today came to my grave to lit the candle.

The last two lines are just so powerful and I am sure, most would understand that the meaning of them is that when that girl came to see the guy, he was already sleeping in his grave, he was already dead! What more I can say except superb .

Ik ik patthar jod ke maine jo deevar banaai hai,
Jhaanku us ke peechhe to rusvaai hi rusvaai hai.

Yun lagta hai sote jaagate auron ka mohataj hoon main,
Aankhein meri apni hain par unmein neend parai hai.

Dekh rahe hain sab hairat se neele neele paani ko,
Poochhe kaun samandar se tujh mein kitani geharai hai.

Sab kehte hain ik jannat  utari hai meri dharti par,
Main dil mein sochun shayad kamzor meri binaai hai.

Bahar sehan mein pedon par kuch jalate bujhate juganu the,
Hairat hai phir ghar ke andar  kis ne aag lagaai hai.

Aaj hua maaluum mujhe is shehar ke chand sayaanon se,
Apani raah badalate rehna sabse badi daanaai hai.

Tod gaye paimaan-e-vafaa is daur mein kaise kaise log,
Ye mat soch ‘Gran’ ki bas ik yaar tera harajaai hai.

And here is it’s translation in English,

Brick by brick, the wall that I managed to make,
If I look behind it, there is nothing except pain.

It appears to me being sleepy or awake that I am slave of others,
Eyes only are mine, the sleep within them belongs to someone else.

All are looking at the dark blue water with amazement,
But who has dare to go and ask the sea that how deep it really is?

All do say that there is a heaven on this earth,
I think and wonder that may be it’s my eyesight which is not good enough to see it.

In the yard outside, there are few glowworms on the trees,
What is surprising then who did lit the fire within the house?

I came to know today from few shadows of this city,
It’s the biggest cleverness to keep on changing your ways.

So many has broken the vase of love in today’s time oh dear,
Don’t think that it’s just your beloved who is faithless.

What can I say more to what is already said in the song. If you would watch the video, you would see that the guy is keep on doing one thing or the other to make his girl calm. Even though it wasn’t his fault at all, still since it’s for his love, he is doing whatever he can possibly do which includes standing in the freezing cold weather outside the gal’s home, chasing her all over to talk to her and even getting a beating too, all for just one thing, to make his love smile, make her calm because the pains of seeing your love upset is not expressible in words even. Many times, people ask about logic behind doing certain things, things which are beyond the understanding of many and fail to get defined within the “logics” . But they don’t understand that not everything needs a logic behind it, not everything has to be precisely explained via explanations. At times, some things are not done based on any logics, not for “pushing it” . The are done with just  one and only one thought behind them which is the love for that person for whom they are done. It may sound completely stupid to a logical mind what is being done but from the eyes of a lover, it won’t be a stupid thing but it would be just one of those many things which he thinks he can and should do which would make his beloved smile. It’s not always right to ask and possible to answer that why you are doing this or why you want to do this , at times, its more important to understand this “why” ?  “Why” because there may not be many chances, “why” because that’s what is possible to be done right now and if yes,  then why not, “why” because though he understands everything, he wants to collect something for that upcoming life which is going to be very hard for him in the future and  above all, “why” because  he loves you so much! If one would look from the eyes of a lover,there is nothing above than his love and there is nothing beyond his beloved, even though it may sound completely absurd to someone with a logical mind but it won’t be the case for that lover, that’s why!

SAD UPSET SLEEPY

Aaj udaas hoon to kisi ne aawaz bhi na di Faraaz,

And it’s translation in English,

Today when I am so sad, no one even called me for a moment too,
Not sure why these statues don’t love anyone!

Abhi justju mein hoon uski to ehsaas nahin hai usko,
Ro ro k pukarega humein jaraa marr to jane do!

And it’s translation,

I am still in search of her that’s why she is not bothered about me at all,
She will shout my name being drowned in tears, just let me die!

Humaare bagair bhi aabad hain unki mehflein Mohsin,
Aur hum nadaan samjhte the mehflon ki raunaq hum se hai!

And it’s translation,

Without me also her parties are in full swing,
And I fool was in illusion that it’s me because of which her parties have smiles, happiness!

Mujhe bhi yaad rakhna jab likho tareekh-e-wafa,
K maine bhi lutaaya hai mohabbat mein sukoon apna!

And here is it’s translation,

Do keep me in mind too when would write the tales of love,
That I too have lost my peace, happiness in love!

I Messaged Her Today, WHY? IDK

At times, it takes thousands of sentences to depict the pain and at times, just few words say it all, tell about it all that how the wounds given by the beloved ones hurt, kill you long before you would actually kiss death! I read few of such lines just now and they all hit the nail right on the head and did complete justice to depict such pain. They are in Hindi, I shall translate in English as well.
So here is the first one,

Usi ka shehar, wo hi muddai, wo hi munsaf,
Humein yaqeen tha humaara kasoor niklega

And here is it’s translation in English,

Her city, she only being litigant, she only being judge,
I was sure, I would be proved guilty!

Peotry Once Again 2

Yes, this is the continuation of the first part. I was looking for some good poetry when I read the below one. After the first read, I still was reading them again and again since I liked them so very much.
One, because the poetry is amazing and second, it’s so true what is said in just two lines. So without Further delay, here they are,

Naa jane kis ko pasand aa gayi hai meri aankhon ki nami,
Main hansna bhi chahoon to ye palkein bheeg jaati hain!

And it’s translation in English is,

I don’t know who likes so much my wet eyes,
Even if I want to smile, these eyelids become wet.

Here is the 2nd one,
Har baar wo kyun mujhe chhod jata hai tanha,
Main mazboot to bahot hoon magar pathar to nahin!

And it’s translation in English,

Why does she always leaves me alone,
I am strong but still not a stone!

Here is the 3rd one and my most favorite,
Wajood sheeshe ka ho to patharon se muhabbat nahi karte,
Ehsaas-e-chahat na mile to hasti bikhar jaya karti hai!

And it’s translation in English is,

If you existence is of glass then don’t fall in love with stones,
If one can’t find feelings of affection then the very existence of his
shatters into pieces.

Aansoon chupke as bhigo denge tumhara aanchal,
Jab tumhein meri mohbatt ka khyal aayega!

Jab koi purana kagaj ka tukda mera naam gunganeyga!

Nam ankhon se talashogi mujhe,
Khamosh hothon se tab pukarogi mera naam,
Jab ik din yeh badnaseeb is duniya se chala jayega!

And here is it’s translation in English,

Tears will make your veil wet silently,
When you would remember my love!

A cry you will hear,
When an old piece of paper will whisper my name!

With wet eyes you would look for me,
With silent lips then you would call my name,
When someday this unfortunate will leave this world!

Bad poetry, isn’t it! But what else can be there from a bad guy, right?

Poetry Once Again...

Just Two Lines But So True...

Since I was busy doing firm work and I am not feeling well enough to have sleep at Nights, I was looking for something good to read and what can be better than a piece of poetry which you find so true? And as I said in the title, it’s just two lines but what is said in these two lines, is absolutely true. Have a read,

Us ki jafaon ne mujhe ek tehzeeb sikha di hai,
Main rote hue so jata hun par shikwa nahi karta!

And it’s meaning in English is,

Her cruelty has taught me an etiquette,
I sleep while being in tears but still don’t complain!

I think I must get back to my session and see what's happening at the firm? And about the poetry,
isn’t it amazing?

Is It Really True...

I have got this text just now which had this below statement,

A boy becomes valuable when a girl drops a tear for him, and a girl is priceless when a boy drops a tear for her.

Is it really true? If yes than what about when even after seeing tears, one gets to hear, “ I have nothing to do with these tears? May be some drops of tears have really no importance neither does those eyes who have them or may be, what I remembered reading long time back is more true than the above statement,

Saathi jag te sab jiondian de, koi raahi na jag to challeyan da!

Sach sayane keh gaye ne, hassa sarian de rona kalleyan da!

And its translation in English is,

All are companions of alive, no one is going to accompany those who are fleeing the world!

Its a wise thing said by someone, laughter is for all but cries and tears are just of your own!
